Profiles of Major Gods and Goddesses
Loki
Loki is the god of fire, magic, shape-shifting, mischief trickster and chaos. His parents are Farbauti and Laufey. He has two brothers called Helblindi and Byleistr. Here is the myth about how Loki killed Baldr. Once there was a god of light called Baldr. He was favourited by the queen of gods, Frigg. One day Frigg cast a spell on Baldr that he can never die. Loki got annoyed about this, so in disguise he asked Frigg "Did all things swear oaths to spare Baldr from harm?" "Oh, yes everything except the misletoe." Hearing this Loki imediatly tracked down the misletoe and brang it to were the gods were playing. He approve a blind go called Hodr. "You must feel quite left out, having to sit bacck here away from the merrimen, not being given a chance to throw a stick a baldr to proove his invincibility." The blind god concurred. Loki hander Hodr the misletoe. "I will tell you where to throw the stick." Loki aimed his hand at Baldr and told him to throw it. So the blind god threw the misletoe and it impaled the god straight throw the guts, and he fell down dead. In punishment the gods turned his brother Vali into a wolf and then Vali ripped Loki's other brother to peices. Then they bounded Loki into a cave. Above him they hang a poisones snake that would drop poison. Loki's wife Siguna caught the poison in a bowl but whenever it got fill Siguna would go outside to empty it. While Siguna is emptying it the poison would drop on his face causing intense pain. Whenver Loki whales in pain he creates a earthquake.
Thor
Thor is the god of thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, protection, hallowing and fertility. His parents are Odin and Jörð. His children is Thrud, Magni and Modi. His Abode is Asgard. His weapon his called Mjölnir and his made of the Asgardian metal uru. IT weighs 42.3 pounds and only the worthy can hold it. He is the only thing that keeps giants from raiding midgard.
